About me

I'm genuinely the person who loves the part you dread.

I'm Ricky Johnson Jr. — a husband and father. Before I ever touched a ledger, I played basketball at the D1 level — then earned my accounting degree and have spent the last 5+ years building a career in accounting. Turns out the discipline it takes to compete at that level translates pretty well to staying sharp under a deadline.

I started Summit Bookkeeping because I love numbers, I love a clean chart of accounts, and I love the moment a business owner looks at their financials and actually understands them for the first time. That moment is the whole job, as far as I'm concerned.
